FIRM REPORT 2024-25

Communities

Making a meaningful difference every day.

We are proud to be a certified B Corp. Guided by our mission and values, we take pride in fostering community connections and sustainable practices. This year’s efforts, from BPM Community Month to our proactive environmental assessment, demonstrate our commitment to service, sustainability and the positive impact we can create together.

Making a difference together

In May, we celebrated our commitment to community and marked our B Corp anniversary with BPM Community Month.

As a B Corp, giving back is a vital aspect of who we are, and BPM Community Month offers a powerful way for our team to unite in service across our many communities.

Our team members dedicated their time to causes that align with their personal values and our Firm’s mission. Projects included habitat restoration, processing clothing donations, sorting produce and canned goods for food banks, playing games with children in an orphanage, and creating care packages for a diapers to diplomas program. Colleagues who were not near an office engaged in independent volunteer efforts with local nonprofits that hold special meaning for them.

By coming together to volunteer, we made a meaningful impact where we live, work and play, reinforcing our status as a B Corp through action. BPM Community Month exemplifies our dedication to making a difference while building stronger connections with one another and our communities.
We look forward to continuing this legacy of positive impact, inspiring all BPMers to remain engaged and connected through purpose-driven work.

Creating year-round opportunities for impact and engagement

Beyond BPM Community Month, our dedicated Community Outreach Team — comprised of volunteers from across the Firm — creates year-round opportunities for colleagues to engage, give back, and grow both personally and professionally. Here are a few highlights of BPMers making a meaningful difference and fostering a sense of belonging in communities near and far.

Proactively approaching BPM’s environmental assessment

Taking a bold step forward in corporate responsibility, we are conducting BPM’s first comprehensive environmental impact assessment this year. This initiative demonstrates our commitment to transparency and sustainable business practices as we will voluntarily begin measuring our carbon emissions well ahead of industry standards and requirements.

While most private companies typically wait for client demand before undertaking environmental assessments, we choose to lead rather than follow. As a certified B Corp, we understand that environmental stewardship is integral to business excellence — and we’re not waiting to be asked. By utilizing our Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) team, we are proactively calculating our emissions baseline, laying the groundwork for meaningful sustainability goals, and positioning ourselves to better serve clients while showcasing our value of environmental consciousness.

This early adoption of environmental reporting demonstrates BPM’s forward-thinking approach and dedication to positively impacting all aspects of our operations. Stay tuned for our results!

Moving into the heart of the community

BPM has been a fixture in the San Francisco North Bay for nearly two decades. As of this summer, we are now located in the heart of Downtown Santa Rosa — the Sonoma County Seat — where we can work closely with many of the clients and community partners we support.

“Moving our team to the heart of downtown brings us closer to the vibrant pulse of the North Bay business community,” said James Elliott, Partner in Charge, Northern Valley Region. “As longtime members of this community, we’re excited to strengthen our partnerships and contribute to downtown’s continued growth and energy. Being here puts us at the intersection of opportunity and innovation, where we can better serve and connect with the businesses that make the North Bay thrive.”

Our new office is easy to find, as a beautiful art mural marks the spot. The vibrant mural by local artist Amanda Lynn beautifully captures our Firm’s Because People Matter mission in every aspect of our work. A human hand emerges through a vibrant garden of California poppies, roses and lupine at the mural’s center. Butterflies and bees dance among the blooms, symbolizing transformation and shared purpose. The rich palette of oranges and blues reflects the diverse talents that make our Firm unique, while the harmony of human touch and flourishing nature embodies our core truth: no matter how much we grow, people remain at the heart of everything we do.
